Who Can Apply
- Residents of the Netherlands aged 18 or older
- Renting a self-contained home (with own entrance, kitchen, toilet)
- Rent between €188.02 and €879.66 per month (2024)
- Low to middle-income earners (below income threshold)
- Assets below €36,952 (single) or €73,904 (partners)
Requirements
- 1Valid BSN (Citizen Service Number)
- 2Rental contract for an approved property
- 3Income proof (salary slips or annual statement)
- 4Registered at the rental address in the BRP

Create a DigiD account at digid.nl if you don't have one

Verify your rent falls within the eligible range (€188.02 - €879.66)

Submit your application at toeslagen.nl using your DigiD

Wait for decision
Receive confirmation within 8 weeks; payments are made monthly
